Flotilla 80 started in 1958 in Spokane, WA.  It was the only Flotilla in the Eastern Washington area when it was established.  In 1965 the Flotilla was renamed to Flotilla 81.  Currently  Flotilla 81 consists of men and women who actively support recreational boating safety and other Coast Guard civil missions. In addition, we also provide support for state and local authorities. Our members have made numerous contributions to the Auxiliary and its programs on the local, division, district, and national levels.

Fellowship

Fellowship remains an essential ingredient in making any organization of volunteers successful. The Coast Guard recognizes the importance of this aspect of volunteer participation and encourages a close relationship between Auxiliarists and other
Coast Guard personnel. Fellowship makes the team work and binds the entire
organization together.
