Auxiliary Partners - Community Spirit for Safety

Along with the dedicated volunteer auxiliary members who are active in the missions of the Coast Guard, it is the unsung heroes of the community businesses and organizations that communicate the importance of water safety to the public.

These partners provide the public with boater safety information, donate classroom space, or a place for a vessel examination event.  With everyone working together we can have a safe season on, in, or around the water.

Note:  We are looking for volunteers to expand our service to the community.  If you know of someone interested then please refer them to this SpokaneCGA.com  website.

In support of the community partners, the Spokane Flotilla provides files of our Public Service Announcements and fliers of our upcoming events.  Feel free to use the PDF files in support of our community safety programs.

National Safe Boating Week:  May 19-25, 2007

No, the Coast Guard Auxiliary does not only work 7 days a year. Since the Spokane Flotilla does promote boating safety throughout the entire year we are asking help from community members to promote safe boating to the public during this 7 days of time.

Our theme of "Boat Smart, Boat Safe, wear a Lifejacket" is available to use if you would like and we have boating safety material available.

In summary, we are asking to to promote any form of safe boating message with or without mentioning the Spokane Coast Guard Auxiliary.  The main objective here is to increase public safety on and around the water.
